The Stumbleupon Effect
November 28th, 2007SitB & R is obviously in its infancy, and I am not doing a whole lot to facilitate its growth. It occurred to me recently that there is not even a real human side to these blog posts or this site. Few really know who this is writing. I have been thinking about the difference this makes in my blog and my digital presence. For now I guess I am experimenting with the separation of the physical me and the digital me, but I do have an “About the ‘Real Me’” page planned, so if you are digitally interested in the physical me, check back on that.
Down to business real quick. I frequently check my web stats. this helps me plan content, focus my tags and keywords and strategically plan my content for you guys and for Google (Yahoo! too I suppose). Well taking a look yesterday I noticed a significant spike. Stumble.com was the source. Somebody added SitB & R to the Web Development category of Sites. Well I don’t know if it was people clicking the new link, or the Stumbleupon crawler, but I had significantly higher unique hits than average. I just had a growth spurt.
